More Information

This certificate provides a site wind classification for housing in accordance with AS4055 Wind Loads for Housing. It identifies the applicable site wind classification for the nominated site for use within the scope of the standard.

The certificate is intended to provide a clear project-specific basis for design, specification, product selection and project coordination where an AS4055 site wind classification is required.

It may be used by homeowners, builders, designers, certifiers, suppliers and manufacturers where a site wind classification is needed for housing components or related project documentation.

This certificate may be used to inform the design, specification or selection of:

  • Structural framing and associated housing elements

  • Roof cladding and wall cladding

  • Roof trusses and tie-down requirements

  • Windows and glazed doors

  • External doors, including garage doors

  • Other housing components designed or selected using an AS4055 site wind classification

It may also be used to support design coordination, documentation, procurement and approval-related processes where an AS4055 site wind classification is required.

For this service, housing is limited to eligible NCC Class 1 and Class 10a buildings within the geometric limits of AS4055.

This certificate does not verify NCC building classification or building geometry.
