Class 1, Class 10a and AS4055 geometric limits
QuickWind is for suitable NCC Class 1 and Class 10a projects where the AS4055 pathway is appropriate. Building classification and AS4055 fit should be confirmed by the project team before ordering.
Class 1 buildings
In practical terms, Class 1 generally covers houses and similar residential dwellings, including detached houses and some attached dwellings such as townhouses. Formal classification depends on the NCC and the project circumstances.
Class 10a buildings
Class 10a generally covers non-habitable buildings such as private garages, carports, sheds and similar structures. This is the Class 10 pathway most relevant to QuickWind.
AS4055 geometric limits
AS4055 only applies where the building fits within the relevant pathway and geometric limits. These can include matters such as building height, eave height, roof pitch, building width and the relationship between building length and width. This page does not reproduce the Standard.
QuickWind does not include checking or confirming building classification or AS4055 geometric eligibility. If the project team is unsure whether AS4055 applies, confirm with the builder, designer or certifier before ordering.
