AS4055 resource

Do I need an AS4055 wind classification certificate?

You may need a site wind classification certificate when a builder, certifier, designer, supplier or manufacturer asks for the wind classification for a residential or Class 10a project, or where site-specific wind information is needed for suitable component selection and design coordination.

Common reasons

A certificate may be requested for window and door selection, garage doors, roof trusses, cladding, tie-down coordination or project documentation where AS4055 is suitable.

Why it matters

Wind classification helps the project team select and coordinate building elements for the wind conditions at the site. That matters for resistance to storm wind actions and for reducing risk to the building and occupants.

Project fit

QuickWind is intended for suitable NCC Class 1 and Class 10a projects in NSW, QLD, SA and WA where AS4055 is the suitable pathway.

Before ordering

If you are unsure whether AS4055 is suitable, confirm with your builder, designer or certifier before ordering.
